All-Ireland Chess triumphs for Gonzaga

Congratulations to Gonzaga's Senior and Junior chess teams who have followed up their victories in the Leinster Schools' Championships by winning the All-Ireland Championships in Cork. Special thanks to Mr. Daniel Lynch for all his work and encouragement.

The Senior Team of Michael O'Toole, Cormac O'Brien, Marc Lincoln, John Flanagan, Patrick Mangan and Daniel Purdydefeated Methodist College, Belfast and St Benildus in the Finals.
The Junior Team of Jack Hennessy, Tim Wyse, Ross Byrne, Patrick Young, Conor Young and Sam O'Neill defeated Presentation College Cork, St Brendan's and RBAI in the Finalss.
